Caroline joined Tate+Co in 2016. Her role has evolved from Practice Manager to Business Director where she now oversees the running of the company, along with the other directors.

Previously her career was in the financial sector, where she worked for over twelve years. She was the Head of Debt Capital Markets for a UK Bank, where she was responsible for running a multi-billion pound funding and liquidity programme in both the domestic and international markets.

More recently she has worked with Nissen Richards Architects and New Link Consulting as their Business Manager.

Caroline studied at Trinity College Dublin, where she received her degree in Business, Economics and Social Studies (Hons) and subsequently a Masters in Economics and Finance from Maynooth University.

As an architect, Emma is driven by the belief that inclusive and accessible design can transform how people experience the built environment. Her work blends material exploration, hands-on making and cinematography, using these to shape spaces that feel intuitive, generous and responsive to diverse needs. She has worked on a wide range of projects from a bespoke home for a tetraplegic client to currently working on the adaptive reuse of National Trust heritage buildings at Scotney Castle.

Emma has been selected to be part of the Lambeth Design Review Panel.

Outside of the office Emma loves to spend her time outdoors cycling, hiking and skiing.

Harry completed his MArch Architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 1) with distinction from University of Edinburgh.

Harry’s project Between the Acts, which investigated themes of collective memory and storytelling within the built environment, won the Edinburgh Architectural Association’s J R Mckay Silver Medal for best graduating student in MA / BA Architecture at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

At Tate + Co, Harry is working across a variety of projects and is currently engaged with the Hospitality + Leisure team on the reimagination of a Georgian Country House in Northumberland.

Harry employs a hands-on, craft-oriented approach to design, using model-making, drawing and other various representational strategies as tools to express narrative and atmosphere.

Out of work, Harry is Editor-in-Chief of architecture magazine, Crumble. The magazine is an award-winning publication that aims to promote interdisciplinary understanding of architecture and place. The recent issue, Unsettled, explored themes of land ownership, contested geographies, ruination and spatial reimagination.

Harry’s hobbies include pottery, bouldering and wild swimming.

Harry is passionate about community oriented-design and placemaking.

Applying his skills and experience in masterplanning and residential design, Harry is currently working on two key projects within the studio: the Knutsford Low Carbon Housing Development and the Truro School Music and Performance Centre which is on site and  due to open in spring 2026.

Harry’s work is well recognised, having received a nomination for the RIBA North-East student awards for his Masters Thesis ‘The Wallsend Minewater Collective’ and The Norman Lilley Memorial Trust Award for ‘Best Achievement in the Construction and Built Environment Diploma’.

When not designing, undertaking site visits or leading our lively CPD Programme, Harry enjoys plein air painting in the parks of London and running. He volunteers with the architectural charity Make Space for Girls.

Jerry founded Tate+Co in 2007 and maintains a central role at the practice. He is driven by his desire to generate creative, pragmatic and unique solutions for each project that have a positive impact on our built and natural environment. Jerry is influential across all projects, ensuring design quality is paramount.

Jerry was educated at Nottingham University and the Bartlett, where he received the Antoine Predock Design Award, subsequently completing a masters degree at Harvard University, where he received the Kevin V. Kieran prize. Prior to establishing Tate+Co, he worked at Grimshaw Architects where he led a number of significant projects including ‘The Core’ education facilities at the Eden Project in Cornwall, UK.

Jerry is an active member of the construction industry community and is a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. He is frequently invited to lecture, notably at Education Estates, the Carpenters Fellowship and Ecobuild, as well as contribute to architecture publications, including the Architects Journal, Building Design, Sustain, and World Architecture News. He has taught at Harvard University, run a timber design and make course for the Dartmoor Arts organisation and was Regnier Visiting Professor for Kansas State University’s Architecture School in 2021/22. Currently Jerry teaches at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. In his spare time Jerry is involved with a number of charities and is a trustee at the Grimshaw Foundation as well as a Governor at Cranleigh School.

Since joining the Tate + Co team, Kellie has played a pivotal role in some of Tate + Co’s most significant – and intriguing – projects. Working across the studio’s core sectors of Developer-Led Housing, Education and Hospitality + Leisure, Kellie draws upon her studies – and interests – to introduce highly creative, sculptural influences to her architectural design.

Kellie is currently working on the masterplan for the reimagination of a natural visitor attraction, the renovation of a leading SEN school in Central London and the refurbishment of a nylon factory!

Kellie has worked on a number of voluntary initiatives including the Meso Playground Project in Guatemala with Caukin Studio and on the design and final completion of Stride Treglown’s Circular Kitchen project.

In her spare time, you’ll be sure to catch Kellie on a badminton court.

Design-led, Laurence blends creativity with a practical and proven understanding of development to ensure concepts become a reality.

Laurence has been the project architect for many significant projects at Tate + Co including the Eden Canopy Walkway and the Brunel Museum Reinvented project, re-opening Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s first ever structure for use as a performance space.

Laurence graduated from Nottingham University with first class honours and received a distinction for his Part II at Westminster University before completing his Part III certificate at RIBA Northwest. He has previous experience working in a number of other London based practices including Hopkins Architects, where his work included a residential project for Rice University, Texas.

Laurence has a particular interest in regenerative design and has taken part in talks and written articles on the subject. In 2015, Laurence was awarded the AKT II Architecture prize at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition for his Urban Floral Propagation field box.

Lewis completed both his MA (Hons) and MArch at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with distinction.

Lewis brings a thoughtful, research-led approach to design, paired with a hands-on understanding of how things are made—developed through experience working with builders and designers in Edinburgh, fabricating everything from cabins to furniture and fit-outs.

At Tate + Co, Lewis has contributed to a range of projects including Stanbrook Abbey, The Hurlingham Club, Regent’s Park and Cole’s Green, and has been supporting early-stage design and submissions for Knutsford across RIBA Stages 1 and 2. He’s particularly interested in the narrative and cultural dimensions of place-making, and how architecture can respond to context beyond the purely physical.

Lewis’s final thesis project, Interzone, explored the architectural workings of literature and culture across the cities of Tangier and Edinburgh, examining themes of colonialism, subterfuge and ambiguous frontiers. The project received the Edinburgh College of Art’s Sir James Dunbar-Nasmith Prize, as well as the Design Report Award.

Outside the studio, Lewis enjoys cooking, life drawing and sketching – often using these practices to sharpen his eye for composition, materiality and detail.

With experience spanning a range of sectors and services including Residential, Education and Masterplanning, Nick is committed to delivering sustainable projects which express and amplify a deep-rooted connection to their community and environment. Nick’s creative designs are underpinned by a hands-on approach to navigating the technical complexities and regenerative potential of every project.

Recently appointed Design Lead – Education, Nick is responsible for the strategic and creative direction of this key sector within Tate + Co. He is currently leading the design and delivery of the Truro School Music and Performance Centre which is on site due to open in spring 2026. He is also working on a number of highly significant projects with the Birkbeck University of London.

Nick has experience of working with listed buildings, within green belt and conservation areas, winning an RIBA Regional Award and NLA ‘Don’t Move Improve’ prize in the process.

Nikita joined the Tate + Co team as an Architectural Assistant. She is currently working towards qualifying as an architect, and has recently completed her Part III at the University of Westminster with distinction.

Nikita completed her undergraduate at the University of Cape Town with distinction, and thereafter worked at Noero Architects (SA) and Haworth Tompkins (UK). She lived in Germany for two years while studying an M.Sc. Masters in Architecture (Typology) at the Technische Universität Berlin.

She has a keen interest in cultural buildings and housing. Her thesis, titled Gender-based Housing (GBH), aimed to tackle gender-based violence through the realm of architecture.

Nikita has received a number of awards, such as the Des Baker Architectural Student Design Competition (first runner up), and performance-based scholarships such as the Boogertman + Partners Architectural Design Scholarship Award Africa.

Her work has been exhibited in Germany, Namibia, and South Africa, and she has been included in publications such as Designing the Survival Lounge (Part of the FRAU ARCHITEKT exhibition) and Co-designing The City: Architecture + Informal Intelligence.

She enjoys all things to do with making. In the office it’s models; outside it’s drawings, sewing, leather work and more.

Qaisy joined Tate + Co in 2018 and since then has worked on a variety of projects across various stages. These include the recently completed York St John Creative Centre, a large residential retrofit / refurbishment and extension for a private client in Kent and the Heathrow Expansion Project with Grimshaw Architects. Backed up his by sound technical experience and expertise, he brings his artistic and practical abilities to every project.

Qaisy received his MArch Architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 2) with a distinction from The Bartlett School of Architecture. He was under supervision of CJ Lim and Simon Dickens, with whom he explored concepts of architecture and urban planning based on narrative and storytelling.

Prior to The Bartlett, Qaisy had several roles which he believes have expanded his creativity and sensitivity in space making. At the age of 18, he was a stage designer at Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) where he designed and built a stage for a play based on Sherman McDonald’s ‘After Juliet’. His creative pursuits then brought him to work under the wing of an award-winning Malaysian film director Yasmin Ahmad as a post-production assistant in a production house based in Malaysia. His architectural training later developed at several practices including Veritas Architects, ZLG Design, and Rekarancang Sdn. Bhd.. During this time, he pursued his interests in art particularly in mural painting where he was commissioned to paint murals on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam, and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia and in Melbourne, Australia.

Rebecca is committed to sustainable design and regenerative architecture. Bolstering Tate + Co’s offer and ethos, her experience spans a range of services and sectors including Retrofit, Education and Residential. She is a passionate advocate of quality, affordable housing.

Working alongside Jerry Tate, Founder and Director here at Tate + Co, Rebecca has recently been appointed Design Lead – Housing and is jointly responsible for the strategic and creative direction of this key sector. Within this capacity Rebecca has represented the practice at various property and housing conferences and has contributed to a number of national debates.

Rebecca is currently leading the design and delivery of a low carbon housing demonstration project in Cheshire; the Knutsford development is an innovation project launched by igloo Regeneration and The Crown Estate to explore pioneering approaches to sustainable housing.

Away from the office, Rebecca enjoys walks with her Border Collie, Mara, who is a key member of the Tate + Co team! Rebecca is a keen rower and has previously qualified for Henley Women’s Regatta.

Having worked as Practice Manager for architects and designers for many years, including Nissen Richards Studio and Paul Cocksedge Studio among others, Sybil brings a wealth of experience.

As the Tate + Co team grows, Sybil’s knowledge and approach to management, HR and Finance keeps processes and procedures running smoothly.

With a diploma in Garden Design from Capel Manor, Sybil has completed a number of garden design projects. She definitely has her eye on the little courtyard we have in our new studio.

She is also an obsessive knitter and has started a lunchtime Knitting Club here at Tate + Co!

Having worked for a number of architecture practices, Mara brings a wealth of experience to Tate + Co. With her excellent people skills and boundless energy, she is a key member of the team.

As Wellbeing Lead, Mara is known for her relaxed approach to work but when required shows speed, agility and tenacity. She is extremely persuasive when it comes to getting attention and finding people to play ‘fetch’
