Project update on Birkbeck, University of London

We would like to share with you a quick update on our project at Birkbeck, University of London.

The Student Wellbeing Hubs and new teaching rooms, at both the Student Central and Malet Street buildings, are really taking shape and on course for completion in March 2025.

These new spaces will provide versatile, flexible and uplifting environments for people to gather, share ideas, learn and relax.

We believe projects such as this at Birkbeck are going to become increasingly important in the Higher Education sector. It is no longer about the introduction of new, ‘flagship’ buildings, rather about retrofitting what is already there; employing highly creative and clever architecture to maximise utilisation and encourage exceptional learning experiences.

Tate+Co crafted the concept scheme and Maris Interiors is now delivering the project. Congratulations to Daniel Xuereb and the estates team at Birkbeck for creating such a comprehensive delivery strategy.

We can’t wait to enjoy a coffee in the new space!
