One of the best things about being an architect has to be visiting site, seeing ideas become reality.
Jerry Tate, Founder and Director, and Hannah Pinsent, Architect here at Tate + Co, recently visited the Truro School Music and Performance Centre in Cornwall. Scheduled for completion early 2026, the project will include a multi-million-pound music centre and refurbished multi-use hall. The new facilities will foster musical participation, excellence and inclusion within the school and the wider community.
The building is starting to take shape and there is now a real sense of how the various components of the centre, for example the spaces for musical education and community outreach, will look and feel and once complete.
Hats off to the project architect Hannah, pictured above taking in the view of Truro Cathedral, for her design management, Ward Williams Associates, Classic Construction, the project team and of course our visionary client’ Truro School.
