As part of the Open House Festival 2024, the Brunel Museum opened its doors and welcomed visitors to explore Brunel’s Engine House and Tunnel Shaft.
Tate+Co was delighted to be part of the event, joining guided tours to discuss the incredible history of the Thames Tunnel as well as plans for the upcoming renovation.
Jerry Tate, Director and Founder here at Tate+Co, and architects Hannah Pinsent and Nikita Schweizer were on hand to talk through our ambitious designs for the Museum and answer any questions.
The Tunnel Shaft provided a dramatic setting for talks and presentations.
With Gail Dickerson presenting Excavate, a temporary exhibition, and the launch of the new installation There and Back Again by Artist-in-Residence Mhairi Vari, Open House at The Brunel Museum proved to be a popular event within the community and beyond.
The Museum will be closing soon with the Brunel Museum Reinvented Project commencing October 2024.
