Now, more than ever, we need community in our lives. The benefits of social connections are clear in terms of health and wellbeing. Yet even as our cities expand and become busier, isolation and loneliness is increasing. All good developments look to integrate and promote existing and new communities, but in reality the involvement and space for these is often marginalised. So how can we really bring communities into developments, creating an urban fabric that allows them to thrive and flourish? We will explore this further looking at methods of consultation and engagement, creating community spaces and landscapes, as well as co-design and collaborative strategies, to highlight how this can be achieved in our cities.
Like our previous ‘…..in the City’ events it will be a panel discussion with lots of audience interaction and we have a fantastic panel:
