Did you miss our Community in the City event at The Building Society?
If so – or if you would like a reminder of the discussion – an audio recording is now available on SoundCloud
We had a packed house and enjoyed a lively conversation about how the built environment and development can help communities thrive.
Particular points of discussion included:
- How can we get the community voice heard at the very earliest stages of the regeneration process?
- How can we all benefit from the long-term value that genuine community involvement can deliver?
- Could we / should we keep a repository of consultation and community data either at a local or national level?
Once again, thanks so much to our guest speakers – Sophie Beagles of Ealing Council (London Borough of Ealing), Stephanie Edwards AA Dip ARB RIBA of Urban Symbiotics, Sem Lee of the Forest Community Land Trust and OURI Labs, Daren Nathan of London Square and John Nordon of Igloo Regeneration – and of course the audience for making this such a rich discussion.
We would love to hear your thoughts too so please do get in touch!
