It’s great to see Seckford Hall Hotel and Spa making a bit of a splash in the press.

Thank you Boutique Hotelier and Hotel Owner for publishing news of our recent planning and listed building consent for the magnificent Grade II* Listed hotel and spa.

Built in 1553 and set in one of the most iconic, historic houses in Suffolk, Seckford Hall is now a fine, Country House Hotel. Acquired in 2018, the team here at Tate + Co has been working with the new owners since 2021.

Contained within the site-wide, landscape-led masterplan, the new proposals will deliver huge improvements to the existing historic house, as well as a series of new buildings to improve visitor well-being. New courtyard accommodation will add an additional 27 keys to the hotel. A contemporary restaurant and garden room plus tree houses will combine to enhance the overall guest experience.

‘Hotels & Leisure’ is one of the practice’s key sectors and Hannah Pinsent is delighted to be leading such a prestigious and high profile project.

“Seckford Hall is steeped in history and it is a huge privilege to have been given the opportunity to be part of its future. Respectful of the magnificent Tudor architecture, our designs seek to extend and enhance the building within the context of its original design, landscaped gardens and rural surroundings.”
