Thank you to all who ventured out on a super-cold evening to attend the event. A big thank you also to the guest speakers: Symon Bacon from British Land, Katharina Erne from HTA Design, Dan James from Eden Project, Katie Mills from Forest & Family and Sarah Parsons from the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Some of the things the Tate + Co team learnt were:

1) We need to be more sophisticated about how we value nature, both from a straight financial point of view and more broadly.
2) If we want communities to really ‘own’ a green space and look after it, we need to start talking to them and involving them in projects at a super-early stage in the process.
3) Whilst we obviously want equal great access to nature everywhere, we should not be afraid to have stunning pioneer projects that make others envious so that they lobby to have their own great natural spaces!
