The latest edition of Premier Hospitality, part of the Roma Publications group, features a piece by Laurence Pinnfire, Director here at Tate + Co and Design Lead for the studio’s Hospitality + Leisure Team.
Laurence is one of this month’s Guest Authors and his article, Beyond a bed for the night: designing hotels with a sense of place, explores a growing shift in visitor expectations. A hotel can no longer rely on simply offering guests a comfortable bed for the night. Travellers are becoming more discerning about where they stay and, increasingly, the hotel itself is expected to be part of the experience.

Beyond a bed for the night; designing hotels with a sense of place
The feature references Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa, a magnificent Grade II listed Tudor house and gardens in Suffolk. Creating a genuine sense of place goes beyond architecture and interiors and the vision for this lovely hotel is based around health, wellbeing and country pursuits. You can find out more about our work at Seckford Hall here.
Thanks so much to Premier Hospitality for publishing this piece.
