Earlier this year Tate+Co were shortlisted for the new Bristol Zoo competition, looking at how to ensure a sustainable future for the Zoo at their new home just outside Bristol. Tate+Co led an amazing team which included Grimshaw, Studio 8Fold, McGregor Coxall, Buro Happold, DHVA Heritage and 3Adapt.

Our proposals for the competition created a new linear country park as a ‘soft’ pay wall for the Zoo, which would provide a landscaped space for community engagement and education outreach. We were runners up in the competition, but wanted to share our ideas with everyone as we are very proud of them, so here they are.
