As part of the Tate+Co 2025 Social Calendar, the team spent a brilliant afternoon at the Tate Modern. (No relation!)
For our ‘Early Summer’ outing we visited The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House.
Featuring immersive works that transformed the gallery space, the exhibition considered themes of belonging, collectivity, individuality, connection and disconnection. The works examined the complex relationship between architecture, space, the body and the memories and the moments that make us who we are.
Korean-born, London-based artist Do Ho Suh invites visitors to explore his large-scale installations, sculptures, videos and more delicate drawings. Through life-sized replicas of past and present homes, the exhibits took us from Seoul to New York and London.
It is quite an incredible collection of work; we were blown away!
The very excellent Do Ho Suh exhibition at Tate Modern is taking place until 19 October 2025.
