We are delighted to be included in Architecture Today‘s Regenerative Architecture Index 2025.
Hosted by UK Architects Declare and Architecture Today and in partnership with Schuco UK, the Regenerative Architecture Index (RAI) 2025 was launched at the beginning of October at Broadway Malyan’s London office.
The RAI recognises the need for a built environment that isn’t just reducing its negative impacts but also introducing positive impacts. The RAI seeks to benchmark the efforts of architectural practices dedicated to regenerative design principles, celebrating those who integrate sustainable, circular and nature-positive approaches within their work.
This year’s Index included 116 organisations (up from 68 last year), ranging from sole practitioners to global brands. Each practice was required to submit detail responses to questions in three key categories that illustrate regenerative solutions for local and planetary well-being.
Category 1. Being a good ancestor
Category 2. Co-evolving with nature
Category 3.Creating a just space for people
Tate + Co is featured in Category 3, Creating a just space for people, with a reference to Knutsford, our pioneering project of 60 new sustainable homes.
Pictured above, this innovative housing scheme is the product of a special partnership between igloo Regeneration and The Crown Estate and is one of several groundbreaking developments that will create a total of around 200 homes across Bedfordshire, Cheshire and Hertfordshire. These new developments will create inclusive communities and deliver much needed housing.
