We were excited to announce at a Rotherhithe community meeting yesterday, that the Brunel Museum has been awarded a £1.85 million grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the Brunel Museum Reinvented project. This will transform the existing site into a more inclusive and accessible space to tell the fascinating stories of Marc and Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Along with a three year program of community events, the project will create a new entrance pavilion, and refurbish the Engine House to create a home for the Thames Tunnel Archive drawings collection. We have been working with the museum on a masterplan since 2011 and are excited to be able to take this project forwards. Thank you to our incredible team for all their work, Purcell, Redman Design, Engenuiti, Adams Habermehl, Transport Planning Associates, Access=Design, Huntley Cartwright, Eric Kentley, Fiona King, Fourth Street and of course the Brunel Museum for tenaciously pushing on with this initiative.
