Tate + Co will be at Grand Designs Live.
Taking place at Excel London from 1-4 May 2026, the well-known exhibition and interactive event will feature the latest in ideas, innovation and home inspiration.
On Friday 1 May, Rebecca Hall, Senior Architect and Passivhaus Designer here at Tate + Co, will be joining a panel discussion, hosted by Kunle Barker, to explore how to ‘Design Health, Happiness and Wellbeing into your home with natural materials’. The panel will also include William Foster and Petina Julius.
Research in environmental psychology, biophilic design and biomimicry suggests that natural materials such as timber, stone, clay, cork and natural fibres can help create calmer, more restorative spaces. Recognised as leaders in regenerative architecture and sustainable design, Tate + Co is delighted to be part of this conversation.
The session will be taking place in the Build and Renovation Theatre at 14:00.
We look forward to seeing you at Grand Designs Live!
The images above are of Kintyre House, a low-energy family home in Hertfordshire. The challenge was; ‘how do you design and build a Passivhaus as a contemporary version of a rural country home?’. You can find out how we approached this project here.
