Did you miss our recent ‘Gathering in the City’ event at The Society Building, London?
If you did – or perhaps would just like a reminder of the discussion – an audio recording is now available on SoundCloud.
For our fifth and final debate of 2024, we were treated to a first-rate discussion and engaging Q&A session.
Chaired by Laurence Pinnfire, Director here at Tate + Co, the conversation was lively; from the notion of ‘mild hedonism’ to the increasing relevance of welcoming spaces of safety and contemplation, from the importance of accidental encounters to maximising efficiency through the flexible and extended use of space. There were compelling views from all perspectives but our collective need for connection and craving for social interaction were common threads.
Thanks, once again, to our amazing panel:
Sarah Cary, White City Development Director – Imperial College London
Fr Enehizena Moses, Parish Priest – St Mellitus
Auro Foxcroft, Director – Village Underground and EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney)
Samuel Lawson Johnston, Co-founder – Kinrise
And
Lydia Lee, Assistant Director, Culture and Regeneration – Bromley Council
And many thanks to our audience for joining us on a chilly December evening and contributing to such an excellent conversation.
