Taking place on 15-16 October at Manchester Central, Tate + Co will be at the Education Estates Conference and Exhibition 2024. Welcoming schools, colleges and universities, the annual event is a catalyst to the national conversation around education estates.
As part of the lively conference programme, Jerry Tate, Founder and Director here at Tate+Co, will be joining an expert panel discussion titled Learning Spaces Promoting Health & Wellbeing. Taking place at 16:00 on 15 October on The Design, Construction & Delivery Stage, the panel will be considering improving educational outcomes with the ten principles of ‘Naturalness’.
With more than 29,000 schools, 380 colleges and 142 universities across the UK, there is no denying the enormity and importance of the education sector and decarbonising existing fabric through retrofits and refurbishments and successfully achieving zero carbon in new builds will be crucial in the race to combat climate change.
The panel will include Ian Pratt, Director, Head of Education, Health & Wellbeing at Scott Brownrigg and Colm Lacey, Group Director of Capital Projects at New City College. The discussion will be chaired by Gayle Boulton, Head of Sustainability Support Programme at the Department for Education.
If you will be attending Education Estates, please do join us on Tuesday afternoon or if you would like to catch up with Jerry, please do get in touch.
We look forward to seeing you in Manchester next week!
