Model-making is integral to the design process here at Tate + Co, enabling us to explore concepts and options and better communicate our ideas to clients and collaborators. It is a key component of our creative offer.
With scales ranging from 1:5 to 1:1000, more detailed models can demonstrate the intricacies of architectural components while large, masterplan models enable us to more easily appreciate the narrative between the buildings and spaces they create.
Architectural Assistant Harry Baldwin made the model above and below, a developer-led housing project we are currently working on, and photography is by teammate Architectural Assistant Harry Groom.
(You don’t have to be called Harry to work here, but it helps!)
