We are excited to announce that the new Creative Centre for York St John University was officially launched at a ceremony on the 9th June 2022 by the University’s Chancellor Reeta Chakrabarti. It was a wonderful event with many key representatives of the University and York City Community, as well as members of the team who delivered the project. We are certain that the new facility will promote continued teaching excellence at YSJU, particularly real ‘working’ environments (like a TV Studio or full teaching auditorium) as well as true cross-disciplinary collaboration in the central timber framed atrium space. The event even included a contemporary dance performance by students from the Drama and Dance BA (Hons) course.
As ever a huge thanks to the team behind the project, MCAG RLF, Atelier One, Atelier Ten, Sound Space Vision, Colour Landscape Architects, Sensory Trust, the main contractors Kier (who were amazing) and of course York St John University for being such visionary and supportive clients.
